Home Owner Finds Dog With Strange Note On Collar

A woman who let an old, tired dog take a nap inside her house for several days discovered a shocking note on its collar.

“An older, tired-looking dog wandered into my yard; I could tell from his collar and well-fed belly that he had a home and was well taken care of,” the woman wrote in a story about the incident.

“He calmly came over to me, I gave him a few pats on his head. He then followed me into my house, slowly walked down the hall, curled up in the corner and fell asleep. An hour later, he went to the door, and I let him out.”

The woman said that the dog continued to come to her house for several weeks, then decided to try and figure out who he belonged to. She pinned a note to his collar, saying she was hoping to find the owner.

“The next day he arrived for his nap, with a different note pinned to his collar,” she said. 

“He lives in a home with 6 children, 2 under the age of 3 he’s trying to catch up on his sleep,” the note read. “Can I come with him tomorrow?”

The amazing story went viral, with many sharing similar stories of adorable dog encounters.

“What a sweet answer, love it. I sorta had the same thing happen to me recently, she got to stay the night, but when she chewed up a few things, found out she was a neighbor’s dog, when they left for work & school here she come . Sweetest dog , found her home & she is happy again,” one Newsiosity reader commented on the site’s Facebook page.

“Unbelievable,” another wrote. “It goes to show pets need the same attention as humans do. Love the story.”
