Man Hears Cries From Under Brick, Starts To Dig (Video)

A man went above and beyond to save a pregnant dog buried alive under pavement (video below).

In the clip, the man can be seen removing brick from the pavement in Rostov, Russia, and beginning to dig in the dirt underneath. As he digs deeper and deeper, the man spots a pregnant dog buried alive underneath and pulls it out. Once the dog is out, she appears happy and relieved to be alive. The terrifying, shocking clip quickly went viral after it was posted online. 

“What a dramatic rescue!! How that poor dog got there and no one noticed is beyond words! Thank God for the young man who saved the dog! I’m so hoping that no one did that deliberately! So thankful that had a happy ending and went to a good home,” one viewer wrote on AWM America’s Facebook page.

Some viewers questioned how the dog managed to be buried underneath the pavement in the first place, with one offering an interesting theory.

“This is how it happened! The dog crawled under the cement slab steps and fell asleep, construction workers came and repaired the side walk while the dog slept soundly! When the dog woke up it started howling and people started the rescue!” the viewer explained on RT’s YouTube page.
