Man Beat Bloody By Group, Is Disturbed To See What Cops Were Doing Feet Away

A Christian man was reportedly attacked by a group of Muslim teenagers on a train.

The man, named Mike, said that five teenagers physically attacked him and his girlfriend while they were on a train in Sydney, Australia. He told the Daily Mail that they specifically came after the cross he was wearing at the time. The teens were of Middle Eastern appearance, he said.

“They ripped the cross off me, threw it to the ground, they said ‘f**k Jesus, and then said they said ‘Allah’ after that,” he told the Daily Mail. Mike, a 30-year-old father, said the incident began when one of the teens bumped into him while he was on the phone. Soon after, two of the other teens began pushing him into a seat, destroying his sunglasses and ripping the crucifix necklace from him. Two female teenagers also hit Mike’s girlfriend.

The necklace was given to him by his mother when he was 14 years old.

“I have a child. I was thinking about her when I was getting attacked,” he said. “I thought I was going to die. The next victim might not be so lucky, they might be killed or seriously injured.”

Mike, who suffers from depression due to a work injury, said he would not be taking the train or wearing his cross in public anymore because the incident was traumatizing.

“I’m too [traumatized] now, actually. Too many people are too scared to do anything about it,” he said. “It’s not just an attack on me, it’s an attack on what I believe in and every Christian out there is getting attacked as well.”

Baptist reverend George Capsis, a friend of Mike’s, said that there have been a series of attacks on Christians across Sydney.

“This country is nominally Christian, you shouldn’t have to hide your crucifix or your faith,” he said. “I was just off the cuff saying to them, ‘If it looks as though there could be trouble, hide the cross for the time being. You’ve just got to be sort of practical.'”

Authorities confirmed that they were investigating the attack, calling it an “alleged religiously-motivated” incident.

“The incident has prompted police to remind the community that any bias-motivated crime will not be tolerated,” NSW Police wrote in a statement. “The NSW Police Force takes all reports seriously and those who are found to commit such [offenses] will be dealt with appropriately before the courts.”

Many readers condemned the incident and expressed their outrage at the alleged targeting of the victim for his religious beliefs.

“How ANYONE can just stand by while a man and woman are being savagely beaten is beyond me!! COWARDS!! That’s what they were!! Just like the muslim scum that perpetrated the beating!!!” one Mad World News reader commented on the site’s Facebook page.
