Children Bully Boy To Brink Of Suicide, Horrified By What He Brought To School Days Later
An Indiana boy who was relentlessly bullied at school got some help from an unlikely source.
Phil Mick, a sixth-grader at DeKalb Middle School in Waterloo, Indiana, had been bullied by other students for several years, but never made it known to anybody around him.
“People would kick me and call me names,” Phil told WANE. “I really don’t tell people.”
One day, when Phil came home from school with bumps and bruises, his mother knew something was not right and asked him what had been happening at school. He told her that he had been getting bullied for being overweight.
“I was fire engine red mad,” said Phil’s mother, Tammy. “He let them hit him, punch him, everything. He’s not the type to tell somebody.”
Phil then revealed to his mother the bullying had gotten so bad he had had thoughts of suicide.
Tammy called her friend Brent Warfield, of KDZ Motorcycle Sales & Service, to talk about her son’s problems at school.
“When Phil talked about committing suicide next year, Brent stepped in and wanted to help,” she said.
Warfield had an idea of how he could help out.
“I said, ‘Well get with me. I’ve got a bunch of big-hearted bikers that good friends of mine,'” Warfield said.
Warfield said he has been working with a group of his biker friends to raise awareness about bullying and teen suicide. He said, “We’re coming together to say enough is enough.”
Phil and his parents met with Warfield and the group of bikers for breakfast before he had to go to class. The group of about 50 bikers escorted the middle-schooler to school that morning, according to Mad World News.
Needless to say, the bullies didn’t want to mess with Phil anymore. Tammy says her son has been having a much better time at school since the bikers stood up for him.
“Phil comes home every day smiling and he did not do that last year,” the mother said.

“I hate hate hate bullies!!!” One reader commented. “I am very happy that this boy decided to let his mom know before he went through with suicide. Happy to see people are out there to help with bulling, such as the biker men.”
“God Bless them,” another user wrote. “So sad bullying cannot stop. It is sad how mean kids can be and even adults. It has to stop somewhere.”
