Are These Duggars Headed For Divorce? (Photo)

Two members of the Duggar family prompted speculation that they might be headed for divorce after a photo posted to Instagram revealed something shocking.

Joy Anna Duggar married Austin Forsyth just one month before the photo was posted to Forsyth’s Instagram, and the two quickly left for a romantic honeymoon in Israel. The photo in question showed the couple on their Israeli getaway, though Duggar was pictured without her wedding ring or her engagement ring.

“Celebrating our 1 month anniversary in Israel! #loveyouforeverandalwaysbabe #seaofGalilee #holyland #GodblessIsrael,” Forsyth captioned the photo, MommyPage reported.

Despite speculation that the absence of her rings meant the couple’s marriage was on the rocks, many readers jumped to Duggar’s defense – saying that there could be a number of reasons for her not to wear them.

“People read too much into stuff. Maybe she didn’t want to lose it. I take my rings off a lot when cooking and forget to put them back on. Doesn’t make me less married. If there was trouble in paradise I doubt she would’ve taken a pic with him,” one MommyPage reader commented on the site’s Facebook page.

“Oh, good Lord! She is in a foreign country on a beach. I don’t blame her for not wearing it. If it didnt fit, I would also understand leaving it behind to be resized. Its just a symbol. Its not like if she isn’t wearing it she isnt married…As for them not taking lots of pictures, maybe they are less worried about sharing pictures with fans and more concerned about making memories. People need to chill out,” another wrote.

“People need to atop jumping to conclusions. It’s a piece of paper that makes them married not a ring. I haven’t worn mine for 3 years and nobody has even noticed!! Doesn’t mean I’m not married. Nobody has jumped on me about if I was getting a divorce!!! Geez! People need to get a life!!!” another added.

The couple, who was friends for 15 years before starting their courtship and ultimately getting married, told People in a statement while in Switzerland following the wedding that they “feel so happy and so excited.”

“We are currently in Geneva, Switzerland, and over the next few days we’re going to be traveling to Interlaken and Zurmatt,” Forsyth told the site. “I think it’ll be incredible.”

“We chose Switzerland because we knew that it was very beautiful,” Joy Anna added. “We had seen a lot of pictures and Austin has really wanted to come here for a while.”
