A Georgia woman was brought to tears when she witnessed her teenage nephew’s random act of kindness.

Connie Belle Jenkins Sweet and her nephew Senquavious Driver were in the parking lot of a Dollar General in Griffin, Georgia, on Oct. 2 when Driver saw an elderly woman in need of help, WTTG reports.

“We were about to pull off and leave when she was trying to get out of her car, but she was struggling to get on the sidewalk,” Sweet said. “She barely could walk.”

Sweet’s 17-year-old nephew jumped out of the car after he saw the 81-year-old woman nearly fall.

“He helped her in the store and shopped with her and he walked her back out to her car,” Sweet said. “She was only going in for a soda, but she barely could even get in the store.”

The elderly woman told Driver she had recently collapsed and injured her back and face.

“I was in tears taking pictures because he didn’t hesitate to help her, and that made my heart happy,” Sweet said. “I’m so proud of him because I know and love the lady that raised him: my sissy.”

The high school senior said the elderly woman was very grateful for his kindness.

Sweet was so moved by the incident that she shared photos of her nephew helping the 81-year-old on the Spalding County Discussion Facebook page.

“I HAVE A AWESOME NEPHEW,” Sweet wrote in the post. “I PRAY GOD continues to DO GREAT THINGS IN HIS LIFE.”

Several Facebook users commended Driver’s actions:

This guy is actually leading the way to a better world.

I worry about kids coming up they are not concerned much with helping others. There are some out there. He is amazing and been brought up right. People need to see this. So much bad going on we need to see more positive and be positive with our lives ad well.

This is exactly what the world needs. People like this young man helping a fellow human being and spreading love regardless of race or age. If I could hit the love button a million times I would.
