This Democrat Just Called Our Attorney General The ‘Second Most Dangerous Man In The Country’

Attorney Generals are mainly responsible for representing the country and state during legal proceedings, as well as providing the government with legal advice. With the Office of the Attorney General being the Head of the U.S. Department of Justice, it is usually required to practice impartiality when handling its countless responsibilities.

However, Attorney General William Barr’s actions and leadership direction has prompted Adam Schiff, the House Intelligence Chairman, to call him the second-most dangerous man in the United States. Schiff made this statement on June 4th 2019 in front of the Council on Foreign Relations, and went on to accuse Barr of prioritizing Trump’s political interests over other matters.

According to the democrat, the country has found itself with an attorney general who essentially acts more like the president’s defense lawyer and spokesperson. He added that Barr was particularly good at camouflaging his actions, and that he was able to give them an air of respectability.

House Intelligence Chairman Schiff went on to compare Attorney General Barr and Trump’s actual lawyer, Rudy Giulani. While Giulani is known to be a more vocal defender of the president, Schiff asserted that Barr was able to mask his actions carefully.

Schiff went on to say that Barr’s mastery of subtlety made him more dangerous than the expressive Defense Attorney Giulani. He further emphasized that this trait made Barr the second-most dangerous man in the United States.

Chairman Adam Schiff has always been vocal about his opposition to Trump, using his position as the Head of the Intelligence Committee to his advantage by continuing to probe Trump’s administration. Despite that, Schiff has never openly expressed that he supports Trump’s impeachment, siding with Democratic leaders like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
