Family Suddenly Realizes They Made Fatal Mistake Just One Hour After Getting Home (Video)
A Florida family was left devastated when an 11-month-old baby died after accidentally being left in a hot car for over an hour (video below).
The toddler was reportedly left in the car while the family unloaded groceries and remained there for more than an hour before family members realized the child was never brought inside.
“When we arrived here the family members, the mother and the father were still in the act of administering CPR themselves. You could clearly see they were very distraught over the fact that the child was unresponsive at that point,” Lt. Gregory Solowsky of the Lauderhill Police Department said. “It’s a tragedy.”
The 11-month-old was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead.
“The family is very, very upset. The entire family. The children, the parents. But they are cooperating with us and at this point it looks like it’s going to be a very, very tragic accident,” Solowsky said.
“We are in the process of interviewing all family members as well as all the neighbors inside the apartment complex,” Solowsky told reporters.
It is not yet been revealed if any charges will be filed in the toddler’s death.
