Man Kills 5-Year-Old For Losing Show – Then Gets Hit With Healthy Dose Of Karma
A court handed down a life sentence to a man who killed his girlfriend’s 5-year-old son for losing a shoe.
Marvyn Iheanacho, 39, beat Lilya Breha’s child to death in a park in Catford, London, after the little boy, Alex Malcolm, admitted he lost his shoe in November 2016, The Telegraph reports.
So severe was the beating, witnesses recall overhearing eight “booming” blows while the child sobbed, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” reports the Daily Mail.
Afterward, Iheanacho took a cab to the mother’s home, where he attacked her, as well. As a result, Breha was unable to seek medical attention for her son until two hours after the beating.
“Obviously I was screaming all the time and crying and constantly I remember … asking him, “What have you done to Alex?” and … he keeps telling me all the different things, and then at some point I just got … really angry and he was sitting in bed and I was standing by Alex’s room, and I just remember looking at him and I said: “You are a danger to my family,” recalls Breha.
“And that’s it, he just jumped on me and he hit me straight away,” she continued. “He gave me a straight punch in my face and then, with his knee he hit me on my chest. And ’til today it hurts, it’s actually really hurt me a lot … And then he just starts strangling me … And I couldn’t say anything. And those moments I knew that is what it feels like to die because my eyes start rolling.”
A few days later, the child died from bleeding on the brain.
Leroy Malcolm, the child’s biological father, says he has suffered depression since losing his youngest son.
In a sad twist, he also recalled how Breha once denied him access to Alex because “she had a better man in his life”
Although she is happy with the sentence, Breha is also heartbroken.
“He was beautiful, shy loving and caring,” she said of her son. “He was the first person I truly loved. Every single day I cry, thinking about him, I ask God to take me too, or not to wake up from my sleep so I can hear his voice again. He was my strength and purpose for living. My entire life feels silent without him it it.”
