Kanye’s Hospital Stint Could Mean Big Payout

According to several reports, Kanye West’s hospitalization following the canceling of his Saint Pablo tour could result in a major insurance payout.

West has an insurance policy in place that protects him if an illness forces him to cancel performances – meaning that the $30 million he lost from the canceled shows, ,as well as the money owed by West to venues and vendors, is in the hands of the insurance company.

The company could deny coverage for the debt if it turns out there was a previously undisclosed condition, or if the illness was caused by “unreasonable” behavior. It’s not known if West was suffering from any mental or physical illness prior to the breakdown that caused him to be hospitalized.

A source told E Online that West’s wife, Kim Kardashian, is supporting her husband during the difficult time.

“She is just holding things down like Kanye did for her when she needed support,” the source said. “Kim is doing much better and is strong. This shall pass she believes.”

Prior to her husband’s breakdown, which many believe was the result of being overworked and overtired, Kardashian was scheduled to make her first public appearance since being robbed at gunpoint in Paris. She wound up canceling and flew to Los Angeles from New York to be with West.

“Kim is by his side now and will stand there till everything gets better,” the source said. “Their time together was just about support. Kanye will be ok. He has a good set of doctors and the main thing is he wants to get through this.”

The hospitalization came following bizarre behavior from West at several concerts over the past few weeks. He was also reportedly working nonstop on his fashion line, the massive tour and other projects.

“Kim was concerned that he may have been taking on too much with all these shows,” the source said. “It was many things on his plate that started to pile up at once.”
