After Squeezing Bump, This Flew Out (Video)

A woman squeezed an unusual lump above her lip only to see a pebble-like object shoot out (video below).

In the video, which has more than 12.7 million views on YouTube, California dermatologist Dr. Sandra Lee, coined “Dr. Pimple Popper,” performs a surgical extraction to reveal what the mysterious object is.

Lee can be seen performing the operation and squeezing around the woman’s upper lip until a blackhead pops out, revealing the pebble-like object’s true identity.

“It looks like a little river rock,” comments Lee as she examines the blackhead. “It’s kind of cool, isn’t it?”

“It’s cool what the body does,” the patient agrees.

Lee explains the blackhead likely got trapped under her skin and never opened to the surface.

While some were revolted by the video, others found it entertaining.

“I need to show this video to my 9 year old,” one YouTube user wrotes. “I can tell her this is what happens when you hide your lima beans in your cheeks!”

Others found the video informative and insightful, and took to the comments section to ask the doctor questions.

It’s not the first video Lee has posted of her working with a patient.

The woman owns the popular YouTube channel, Dr. Sandra Lee (aka Dr. Pimple Popper), which features videos of various procedures she performs.

“Welcome to my channel!,” she writes. “Hopefully this channel will show you a “window into my world” as a dermatologist. I’d like to educate you about different diseases of the skin, hair, and nails, and give you some skin care advice as well. Along the way, you will still see your favorites, what has become my “bread and butter” so to speak: pimples popped, blackheads extracted, cysts and lipomas excised.”

Blackheads are “a symptom of acne, a skin condition in which the pores of the skin become blocked,” according to Medical News Today.

Blackheads can be caused by a variety of factors, ranging from puberty to diet and cosmetics.
