Deadly Poison Discovered In Product For Infants & Children, Major Company Calls For Gigantic Recall

A popular baby product was recalled due to one ingredient being potentially fatal and extremely dangerous.

Raritan Pharmaceuticals reportedly recalled children’s teething tablets as well as their ear relief liquid, due to an ingredient known as belladonna extract.

The products included in the recall were CVS Homeopathic Infants’ Teething tablets and Kids Relief Homeopathic Ear Relief Oral Liqiuid — determined to include small but various amounts of belladonna.

“The recall is a precautionary action,” a rep for the company told CNN.

News of the recall quickly went viral, with many people questioning whether it was necessary.

“I have given belladonna to my grand children for years now,” one Newsiosity reader wrote on the site’s Facebook page.

Despite some readers saying they’ve given belladonna to their children, the FDA has been warning against using teething tablets and other products containing belladonna after 10 deaths were reported.

“Belladonna can be toxic in high doses,” a Raritan spokesman said. “But there are very trace amounts of (belladonna) in these products.”
