Baby On Hospital Ventilator After What Man Rammed Down Child’s Throat, Now 2 Are In Jail

A South Carolina man and woman have been arrested after a 5-month-old baby was taken to the hospital with severe injuries. Police say the man stuck his finger down the baby’s throat.

Celeste Paula Marroquin, 20, and Ricardo Perez Salas, 23, have been charged after the baby was taken to a pediatric ICU at a hospital in Greenville, South Carolina, with severe oral trauma on June 13.

Marroquin has been charged with two counts of unlawful neglect of a child and is being held on $20,000 bail, according to WSPA. Salas has been charged with child abuse and unlawful neglect of a child and is being held without bail.

Police say their investigation found that Salas had put his finger down the infant’s throat for an extended period of time while the baby was crying. This reportedly caused severe damage to the baby’s throat.

Salas was allegedly in a home with the child, despite an order from the Department of Social Services that prohibits him from having contact with the child.

Salas and Marroquin are accused of attempting to cover up the infant’s injuries by avoiding seeking medical attention for several days, according to WHNS.

The infant had to undergo emergency surgery for injuries caused and is currently on a ventilator, but is expected to make a full recovery.

Women need to learn to stand up for your children not allowing men to control them all, if you can’t support your children and allow this to happen it’s far to late to change things you need to see thru these men.I have NO empathy for these type of men it’s all about them not the children or their wife or girlfriend what ever.Hopefully this baby recovers and taken away from both of them and adopted out and could bring joy to a couple that would love a baby and have a loving home please God allow this to happen.”
