Odd Tree Pops Up In Park Overnight Before People Realize What’s Dangling Off It
A Christmas tree in Louisiana went viral for all the right reasons.
The tree first went public thanks to a post on Love What Matters’ Facebook page, which explained the special meaning behind it and what anyone, near or far, could do to contribute.
“I need help! I am the Christmas Tree located in Breaux Bridge, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana. As you can see I need Christmas ornaments on my branches. I am no ordinary tree,” the post read.
“I represent all military veterans and active military living or dead. Just get an ornament, put a name, branch of service and place on a branch or place at base and I will have my helpers place the ornament on one of my higher branches. Honor a family member or a friend, please help fill my branches.”
Anyone interested in contributing an ornament to the special tree was encouraged to mail one in. In exchange, they would be honoring those who served the U.S.
You may mail an ornament to:
Pellerin Life Insurance office.

The post quickly went viral, with many applauding the unique idea.
“What a wonderful gesture I love this idea,” one Mad World News reader wrote on the site’s Facebook page.
“This is a very honorable act so kind and thoughtful. We must always show our troops and all Military how greatful we our for there services. Where would we be without them? Praying your next deployment will be home with your family and loved ones, Merry Christmas and God Bless You” another responded to Love What Matters’ post.
