‘Blue Collar’ NFL Fans Shock Players With A Brutal Surprise That Will End Their Careers
NFL fans outraged by protests by players following remarks made by President Donald Trump took shocking measures to show their disdain for the league, with some even burning tickets to upcoming games (video below).
In one clip that went viral, a New York Giants fan and season ticket holder can be seen holding up his tickets and explaining that he’s been a supporter for many years.
“I can’t watch this happen,” the man says. “I happen to be wearing a shirt of a cop I work with who passed away, who was shot and killed during a robbery. There are thousands of cops just like him who gave their lives for this country. These people sit down and protest against cops? I’m burning my tickets.”
The man proceeds to light his Giants tickets on fire in response to players taking a knee in protest of police brutality.
“It’s a sad day,” the man says as he lights his tickets on fire.
Meanwhile, many NFL players and coaches continue to defend their stance, criticizing Trump and his comments against the NFL, in which he called on players who kneel during the national anthem to be fired.
“Everyone should know, including the president, this is what real locker room talk is,” NFL spokesman Joe Lockhart told ESPN, referring to Trump’s infamous “Access Hollywood” scandal from 2005. In the leaked audio, Trump bragged about sexually assaulting women and later said it was “locker room talk.”
Many on social media criticized the NFL players and applauded people who boycotted the league.
“The overpaid Actors, singers Football and Basketball ,Baseball these people are millionaires and the middle class are the reason for this,” one Mad World News reader commented on the site’s Facebook page. “We the people need to stop going to the new movie, concerts ball games . the prices will go down . They may act like real people again . Boycott Boycott until they do this.”
“Football is on its way out because of health issues, now the fans are going to help these millionaire a*sholes out of their mansions into the real world where they can work for a living,” another wrote.
“I guess we are taking America back from the privileged, squatters, and ‘entitled’ !” another added. “Let’s see who’s going to pay for seats or streaming; there aren’t enough millionaires and as far as I know, welfare isn’t paying for stadium seats – YET. I don’t foresee increased welfare benefits will include ‘entertainment expenses’ for the phoney needy or non American citizens under THIS administration.”
