Married Pastor Turns Heads After Quitting Church To Become Stripper, Comes Out As Queer

36-year-old Nikole Mitchell became a stripper after quitting the church, and says that her new “calling” is selling X-rated content online.

The Orange Country, California, resident grew up in a strict Baptist family and was training to become a leader of her congregation. She then abandoned the pulpit after she discovered she was queer. 

In an interview with This Morning Today, the mother-of-three revealed that after she came out as bisexual, she no longer felt that she had a place in the church. She decided to fulfill her teenage fantasy – becoming an erotic dancer. 

She now posts raunchy photos on Instagram, and sells even racier content on her OnlyFans account.

She explained: “I’d always was part of the church.  And loved the church and the people and did all I could to fulfill my leadership calling in the church, until I couldn’t fit there. I was queer, my church didn’t accept queer people. I had these desires and I decided to finally step into the unknown and see where it led me, and it led me here and I’m very grateful for it.”

She accepts that her former congregation may find her new role “sinful,” but she believes that she’s found her “calling.”

“What I do is very polarizing. People are either a-okay with it or they’re not okay with it. So at the end of the day, I have to decide what I am called to do and trust that calling with my life and let the chips fall where they may. A lot of people have supported me, but I have lost a lot along the way,” she said.

She had been married for seven years to her husband John when she came out, and says that he completely accepted her sexuality and has “supported her every step of the way.”

“John is a beautiful soul. I thought I was straight and it was six or seven years into my marriage and I knew he would support me. He was the first person I told, he said it was natural and normal and he has supported me every step of the way,” she said.

When asked whether she was pushed out or left the church voluntarily because of her sexuality, Nikole responded: “It was a mixture. Of me not being able to bring the wholeness of myself to that space, and the more I trusted myself and walked down that path, the less it was acceptable at the church.”

Her children are five, seven and ten, and she stated that she’s having “age appropriate” conversations with them about her career. 

“I think as any parent we want the best for our kids and never want to hurt them. They know I do modeling and nude modeling and we’re having age appropriate conversations. I think that when they see my work when they’re older they’ll laugh and say ‘Mommy someone can do it better than you,’” she said.

She revealed that she started off with relatively “conservative” images, but eventually began posting raunchier content. 

“It’s a little community where they can get to know me not on social media and it’s a great space,” she said. “It’s a little more exposed, when I first started I was conservative and modest and now there is definitely more explicit content, not suitable for your channel today.”
