Actress Julie Bowen, star of the television sitcom “Modern Family,” made a series of Instagram posts during the inauguration of President Donald Trump about his 10-year-old son, Barron Trump.

On Jan. 20, Bowen shared screenshots from the inauguration of Barron, with captions that some commenters found to be acts of bullying.

“I think Barron is on his Game Boy. Can’t say I blame him,” one photo of Barron looking down at the floor during the swearing-in ceremony is captioned.

Under a second image that shows Barron with an upset expression, his head in both hands, Bowen wrote: “Barron, a voting majority shares your horror,” adding the hashtag #barronforpresident.

“When your dad is boppin’ his head to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir,” Bowen captioned another image, adding the hashtag #dadshame.

In her final Instagram post about Barron, Bowen chastised CNN for cutting him out of a shot.

“Hey [CNN]! Don’t box the Barron!” she wrote alongside a picture of Donald.

Bowen received backlash for her Instagram posts, with some accusing her of bullying the young boy.

“Again with the bullying? You are a piece of s**t!” one user commented.

“Is it really fair to pick on a child? Don’t you have children? Pick on someone your own size,” another wrote.

“Being the source of a joke is hurtful to anyone,” commented another. “I can’t imagine being 10. I can’t imagine being laughed at and have it blasted on social media … but I can’t imagine being the type of person to do such things. Must suck to be you.”

Some of those who were upset over Bowen’s posts said they would no longer be supporting her television show.

“Bully. Bully. Bully. Pick on someone your own size. I will not be supporting Modern Family anymore,” said one commenter.

“What a classy mom! Hope adults don’t bully your children. Not a huge fan before but will no longer watch anything you are associated with. Grow up and stop picking on innocent children,” said another.

Bowen received backlash on Twitter, too, and gave one response.

“I love that Barron is a kid being a kid. My kids would be a horror show at a public event! Just trying to keep it light,” she tweeted.
