Officer Is Dying At Hands Of 2 Thugs, Sees Something Out Of The Corner Of His Eye

A couple from Grand Island, New York, were arrested and charged after reportedly violently attacking a police officer.

In August 2016, Deputy Jason Clark was investigating a vehicle when a second car drove by a number of times. Sammy Abdellatif, the 22-year-old passenger in the car, then reportedly began yelling threats at Clark, and the officer attempted to arrest him.

“Upon informing him that he was under arrest for his conduct, the individual rolled the window of the vehicle up on the deputy’s hand,” Sheriff Tim Howard told WBFO. “In extracting his hand, the window of the vehicle was broken. The passenger of the vehicle immediately exited the vehicle and attacked the deputy.”

The driver of the car, 21-year-old Brittany Ashley-Graser, also allegedly got out of the car and attacked Clark.

Clark says Abdellatif placed him in a chokehold, causing him to nearly lose consciousness. Peter O’Brien, who was passing by, reportedly attempted to intervene but was attacked by a pit bull that was in the couple’s car.

“Were it not for the actions of Mr. O’Brien, this very easily could have ended with another dead police officer,” Erie County District Attorney Michael Flaherty said.

“The case will be presented to an Erie County grand jury very soon, in the coming weeks. That grand jury will be able to listen to the evidence and render a decision as to whether there’s sufficient evidence to charge him with that crime and additional crimes.”

Abdellatif was charged with attempted murder, and Ashley-Graser was charged with felony assault, obstruction of governmental administration and resisting arrest.

“A big pat on the back for Peter O’Brien for assisting this officer. hopefully the other two will get substantial jail time,” one Mad World News reader commented on the site’s Facebook page. “Too bad Barack Obama can’t be arrested for a conspirator in crimes like this. His lax attitude with groups such as black lives matter is a reason behind a lot of this disrespect towards law enforcement.”

“I now carry a baseball bat in the trunk of my car, not only for my own protection but for instances just like this,” commented another. “I am 74 so I know I could not really do much to pull a person off a cop, but I can still swing a bat just fine, and would not hesitate to use it if I came upon a situation like this.”

“Our police officers put their lives on the line for all of us every day!” wrote another commenter. “Hopefully, every one of us will do the same to help them when they need us! Thank you officers for the fine work you do!”
