Father Gets Million Dollar Shot After Doctor Yells For Him To Come Quickly

A doctor told the father of a newborn baby to take a picture right after the baby was born because his son was a “miracle.” When the father saw what the doctor was showing him, he was blown away.

A Reddit user shared a photo taken after the birth of his son. The child was born healthy, but after the delivery, the doctors noticed something surprising: The umbilical cord was tied in a knot.

“The doctor said, ‘Hurry up, Dad. Take picture your baby is a miracle,'” the Reddit user wrote.

According to FaithTap, the umbilical cord was tied in a “true knot,” which cuts off the baby’s supply of nutrients, oxygen, and blood. 

If the knot is not caught and treated in time, the baby can pass away in the womb. Fortunately, the knot did not affect this father’s newborn son and the parents welcomed in a healthy baby boy.

There are ways that pregnant mothers can tell if their baby has tied a knot, according to What To Expect. 

“The most common sign of a cord know is decreased fetal activity after week 37,” the site explains. “If the knot occurs during labor, a fetal monitor will detect an abnormal heart rate.”

A knot can occur if the baby flips and turns in its amniotic sac. In other instances, a knot can form during delivery. 

If a true knot is detected during pregnancy, an emergency Cesarean section can be performed in an attempt to save the baby and prevent any health issues.
