Gingrich: Trump Is Going To Win (Video)

AmericaNow Staff  ·  August 19, 2016

Former Speaker of the House, and current Trump supporter, Newt Gingrich appeared on Fox News on August 18 to discuss the State Department’s admittance that it used a $400 million payment to Iran as leverage for a prisoner release. Gingrich used the opportunity, as shown in the video below, to attack Hillary Clinton and predict a Trump victory.

“You know, I think the elite media just assumes if you’re a liberal you lie,” Gingrich began on his “Hannity” appearance. “The policies are indefensible, the actions are not possibly explainable, so, in that sense, Hillary [Clinton] is in a tradition. What you just saw was [that] the presidential press secretary lied, the secretary of state lied, the president lied – well, why wouldn’t their [Democratic] nominee for president lie?”

“[Hillary] is part of a great tradition,” Gingrich continued. “Why would you tell the American people the truth? And I think that explains part of her behavior. She’s spent her time surrounded by people who lie. She lies like they lie, so they all think it’s OK. She doesn’t even recognize that she’s lying, even when she’s lying about lying – which is truly pretty amazing.”

The conversation then turned to Donald Trump.

“I’m going to go out on a limb tonight,” Gingrich added. “You can keep this tape and remind me after the election, OK? Donald Trump is gonna win. Donald Trump is gonna win, because, in the end, the country’s not going to reward big banks and big unions and big bureaucracies and big donors and big corruption by voting for a big liar. And in the end, the country is going to say, ‘You know, whatever Trump’s weaknesses may be, he’s a sincere guy trying very hard to get this country back on the right track. ‘”

According to The Hill, Gingrich appeared on Fox News’ “Hannity” in July to predict Donald Trump’s choice for running mate.

“He clearly, I think, is down to two,” Gingrich began, saying that Trump was between choosing Indiana Gov. Mike Pence or Gingrich himself for the position. “I think Trump has a tough call because he’s got two really good but really different choices.”
