Immigrants Reportedly Bringing ‘Gift’ To US

Recent reports showed that immigrants might be bringing a “gift” into the United States and passing it onto our children.

Illegal immigrants, Newsiosity reported, are believed to be bringing measles into the United States — a conclusion reached following a recent outbreak in Arizona. South American countries don’t often vaccinate their citizens as the medicines are either unavailable or not affordable.

Another report suggested that the reason for the outbreak in Arizona is related to the “anti-vax” movement across the country. With parents opting out of vaccinating their kids, many believe that the lack of vaccination is exposing children to a greater risk of measles than there previously had been.

In 2015, the first person since 2003 died from the disease. Many believe that measles would have become nonexistent if it hadn’t been for the anti-vax movement.

Many people expressed their own opinions and feelings about the alleged outbreak.

“Our government has endangered all Americans for letting in all the illegals and old and new diseases. We are all endangered,” one Newsiosity reader wrote on the site’s Facebook page.

“Didn’t the leaders of this nation take an oath to protect and defend our constitution which was put in place to protect and defend the citizens of this nation? By allowing people to just stream in – it appears they may have not lived up to that oath. That sounds like they are helping our enemies – which to me – is almost being treasonist,” another added.

Others dismissed the claims, saying that the CDC stated immigrants were not bringing the disease across the borders.

“This article is a straight up bold-faced lie. The CDC dismissed the accusations that immigrants are bringing measles to the US. Most measles cases are brought in by Americans traveling abroad,” one reader wrote.

Alabama Republican Rep. Mo Brooks told The Huffington Post that there was no truth to the claim that there was not an immigration problem related to measles.

“I don’t think there is any health care professional who has examined the facts who could honestly say that Americans have not died because the disease is brought into America by illegal aliens who are not properly health care screened, as lawful immigrants are,” Brooks told the The Huffington Post.

“Unfortunately, our kids just aren’t prepared for a lot of the diseases that come in and are borne by illegal aliens.”
