Trump Campaign Official: Clinton Should Be Executed By A Firing Squad

An adviser to Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump accused Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton of treason and called for her execution.

“Hillary Clinton should be put in the firing line and shot for treason,” Republican State Rep. Al Baldasaro of New Hampshire, who co-chairs Trump’s national veterans’ coalition, told Boston radio station WRKO-AM, according to MassLive.com.

Baldasaro believes Clinton’s email scandal, in which classified emails were sent over a private server established in her home and was prone to hackers, was proof of her treason.

“That’s aiding and abetting the enemy by those emails on letting [out] names of Secret Service special agents, our veterans, on those emails,” Baldasaro said, adding that the law is “in black and white.”

“If people are that stupid and don’t understand, that’s not my fault,” he said.

After Baldasaro’s remarks, some media outlets reported that he called for Clinton’s assassination, but the New Hampshire state representative corrected them.

“The liberal media took what I said and went against the law and the Constitution and ran with it, and they said that I wanted her assassinated, which I never did,” Baldasaro told The Republican/MassLive.com. “I said I spoke as a veteran, and she should be shot in a firing squad for treason.”

This isn’t the first time Baldasaro has called for Clinton to be executed.

In July, he made similar statements when talking to a Cleveland radio station, reported the Military Times.

“She is a disgrace for the lies that she told those mothers about their children that got killed over there in Benghazi,” Baldasaro said. “This whole thing disgusts me, Hillary Clinton should be put in the firing line and shot for treason.”

He then claimed he didn’t say he call for Clinton to be gunned down.

“As usual, the liberal media is taking it out of context. What I said was she should be up on treason charges, and the punishment for that is a firing squad,” Baldasaro explained.
