Boy Fails Math Until Parents Enroll Him In Catholic School

A 10-year-old boy was reportedly failing math in school and his parents didn’t know what to do. They tried everything they could think of, from hiring a tutor to other, more unique methods like hypnosis. However, nothing they tried seemed to help.

Eventually, on a recommendation from a close family friend, the parents decided to enroll their son in a private Catholic school, says Shareably.

After his first day at the new school, the 10-year-old reportedly came home and walked straight into his room, past his parents, with a very focused look on his face. He closed his bedroom door and didn’t come out for two hours — even then, it was only to eat dinner and return to his room. The boy sat at his desk, working all night with math books spread out all around him.

Every day, the boy did the same thing. His parents were shocked at how determined to do well in math he had become.

Finally, his first quarter report card came. Newsiosity reports that the 10-year-old walked right in from school, handed it to his parents at the dinner table, and walked to his room while they opened it.

The boy’s mother hesitantly opened the report card. Much to her amazement, the report card showed her the last thing she expected to see — an A-grade in math.

The parents were shocked but overjoyed. They ran into their son’s room to congratulate him on his progress and hard work.

“Was it the nuns that did it?” his father asked. The boy said, “No.”

“Was it the one-to-one tutoring? The peer-mentoring?” The boy still responded, “No.”

“The textbooks? The teachers? The curriculum?” he asked.

Finally, the boy answered him.

“No,” he said. “On that first day, when I walked in the front door and saw that guy nailed to the ‘plus sign,’ I KNEW they meant business!”
