Child Urinates In Farmer’s Field, Pays The Price

A Dalit boy in India was castrated after he peed in someone’s field. 

The 5-year-old, identified as Ritesh Sheshram, reportedly needed to urinate so badly that he went in a man’s field. 

The property’s owner caught the boy red-handed and beat him relentlessly before cutting off his penis. The child managed to get home and was taken to a local hospital.

The boy’s parents reported the incident to authorities, who later said that the property owner and his son disappeared and went on the run, reports India Today.

Sheshram is from the Dalit caste in India where his people are known as “untouchables” and face wretched lives because of the cruel caste system that dominates their society. 

There are an estimated 180 million Dalits in India, according to BBC.  Many lower-caste people in India are forced to collect human waste and recently, there have been violent protests that have resulted in the lynching of Dalits by upper caste Brahmins. 

The maimed boy is in stable condition and recovering at the hospital.
