A Grand Rapids, Michigan, man said he believed “God’s hand” saved his entire family from dying in a devastating car wreck.

Martin Molina told WXMI that his son, daughter and three grandchildren were in the car when the driver lost control and collided with a fire truck. All five people in the car survived despite the severity of the crash. Firefighters had reportedly parked the truck on the highway in order to respond to another crash.

“I could have lost them all, that time, one shot,” Molina said. The man’s son, Martin Jr., was driving at the time of the crash.

“From the reports I got, they didn’t think that there were going to be any survivors. It was God’s hand that just took care of them,” the father said. “My grand kids, being that it crushed on my son, protected my grand kids. Those seats went back and just covered them. That was God’s hand.”

Molina’s daughter, Brandy, suffered head trauma in the crash while his grandchildren broke bones. All five of the family members are expected to recover.

Molina said that he wanted other drivers to learn from the crash.

“Be aware. Be aware and slow down. This is winter time, and we need to slow down,” he said.

Many readers expressed shock over the miraculous survival.

“Thank GOD for protecting this Family from this horrific accident. God has different plans for them. What a Miracle!!” one Mad World News reader commented on the site’s Facebook page.

“I am almost for sure that when God wants you he will call you home. No matter who or how much money you have. That is the way I believe. He must have a peruse for you in heaven. Your time on earth is done,” another wrote.

“Their is only one reason for their safety God put his hand between them and harm he is the only way to eternal life through him we live amen,” another added.

In a similar incident, a severe crash in Orlando, Florida, killed a woman who, less than a year earlier, had survived the horrific mass shooting at Orlando’s Pulse Nightclub.

Jahqui Sevilla was killed in a head-on collision months after she survived the Pulse shooting — and lost a friend in the attack.

“I did a lot of crying before you got here. I did a lot of crying last night,” Benijno Sevilla, the 20-year-old woman’s father, told WFTV. “She likes to make people laugh. She has a beautiful smile, beautiful cheeks.”
