Rachel Maddow’s MSNBC show continues to drop its ratings for the sixth straight month. According to Nielsen Media Research, “The Rachel Maddow Show” only averaged 2.45 million viewers per episode.

However, despite its decline, it’s still ranked third in cable news rankings.

“Hannity,” starring Sean Hannity, and “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” featuring Tucker Carlson, were placed first and second. Both are aired on the conservative Fox News channel.

“Hannity” drew an average of 3.2 million viewers per night while Carlson’s show drew an average of 2.8 million viewers.

Fox promoted the rankings, with reporter Brian Flood writing: “Hannity crushes Maddow as Fox News tops MSNBC, CNN for 70th straight quarter.”

Both CNN and MSNBC openly criticize President Donald Trump and regularly air conspiracy theories about him.

The most-watched CNN show in June was “Cuomo Prime Time” with Chris Cuomo, which came 25th with an average of 910,000 viewers.

According Nielsen ratings, Maddow’s show averaged 3.3 million viewers in January, 3.1 million in February, 2.9 million in March, 2.63 million in April and an average of 2.608 million in May.

Since the submission of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report in March, “The Rachel Maddow Show” has been losing its viewers. Mueller Report Vol. I was submitted to Attorney General William Barr and it concluded that the investigation was unable to establish collusion between Russia and President Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign. Additionally, there was insufficient evidence to prove obstruction of justice.

Fox was down imperceptibly from last year but “continued to dominate its competition,” TV Newser wrote. “Throughout the week, presentations of Hannity, Tucker Carlson Tonight, The Ingraham Angle, and The Five claimed 11 of the top 30 cable telecasts overall in total viewers.”
