Miami Cheerleaders Strut Onto Field, Parents Appalled To See What They’re Wearing

A Miami, Florida, high school cheerleading squad sparked controversy during a football game for their attire, which many said resembled lingerie (video below).

In a shocking clip that quickly went viral, the students can be seen dancing provocatively while wearing what appears to be see-through lingerie suspenders. The girls are all holding blue bags and gyrating their hips during the performance.

After the clip went viral, many expressed outrage over the cheerleaders’ outfits, calling them inappropriate.

“There is no way that those costumes are not violating the school dress code. The school should not permit cheerleading costumes that are not in accordance with the schools dress code,” one Daily Mail reader commented.

“That is most disgusting and in too many ways, how could this school allow those girls to walk out on the field in that state of undressed like that. Have the schools actually became that depraved,” another Mad World News reader commented on the site’s Facebook page.

“Almost any of the thousands of dance schools across the US have their little girls appearing in costumes that are sexually suggestive. Dancing to Beyonce, twerking – all of which parents pay for and think is ‘cute.’ Ask any family member who is forced into attending one of these 3-4 hour nightmares,” another added.

Some viewers questioned whether the parents were aware of what their daughters were wearing.

“I would snatch my daughter bald headed if I caught her [dressed] like this. Because I certainly wouldn’t have purchased anything like it for her. So that would mean she either bought it herself or had someone else do it. When my kids were in high school we had a school that sent their dance team dressed similarly,” one viewer commented.

“The parents called the district the following Monday, and the resulting flack from it–to this day the district my kids went to school in still does not play schools from that district.”

OK, now that’s disgusting. That has nothing to do with cheering a high school team on to victory. It looks more like they are selling themselves to the highest bidder. What’s wrong with their parents and school officials?” another wrote.

“In most High Schools the parents have to pay for the cheerleaders uniforms. Sooo did the parents just give these girls the money and not expect to see what they bought? If I had gone out on the field dressed like that my Dad would have jumped the fence and dragged me from the stadium and taken me home! But then…..I had a Dad that cared,” another added.
