Husband Realizes That Doctor Saw His Wife Naked, Takes Drastic Measures

A husband is accused of shooting the doctor who helped his wife give birth. The reason? He didn’t want another man to see his wife naked and said a woman doctor should have performed the delivery. Dr. Muhannad Al Zabn delivered the baby in April at the King Fahad Medical City in the Saudi capital Riyadh, according to Gulf News. Local media reports in Riyadh said the father discovered that a male doctor had performed the delivery and then went to the hospital to confront Al Zabn. He initially told Al Zabn he wanted to see him to thank him for helping his wife with the delivery of the baby. The two then met in the garden of the hospital and at some point during the conversation, the brand new father allegedly took out a gun and shot the unsuspecting doctor.
The shooter fled as the wounded doctor was rushed to the emergency room of the hospital. But police caught up to him and placed him under arrest.
Bassam Al Buraikan, spokesperson for the King Fahad Medical City hospital confirmed the incident to Gulf News and said that authorities were investigating it. According to Newsweek, the shooting met with somewhat divided opinion online. Most sympathized with the doctor, but a few questioned why the father was put in such a position.
“Just when you thought ‘jealousy’ can’t get worse,” said a Twitter user who sympathized with the doctor.
But Newsweek also reported that a prominent Arab Twitter user named Ahmad S. Algarni said that the hospital should have met the demands of the father.
