LA Artist Believes Trump is Taking America Towards Dictatorship – Builds This Shocking Billboard in Response

Los Angeles artist and activist Karen Fiorito created a roadside billboard portraying U.S. President Donald Trump besieged by Nazi swastikas and nuclear mushroom clouds resembling clowns.

According to Fiorito, she created the billboard in Phoenix, Arizona because she felt the country was moving towards a “dictatorship.” Located along Phoenix’s Grande Avenue, the billboard received loads of attention from passersby, including one man who called the painting “new world order.”

The local NBC news affiliate stated that Fiorito had made a similar billboard back in 2004 with former President George W.Bush and other top U.S. officials. Fiorito said that she expected a lot of negative reaction from Trump supporters and wished that everyone who contributed to putting the billboards were safe.

Reports revealed that the piece was commissioned by La Melgosa LCC whose owners are Grand Avenue champions Beatrice Moore and Tony Zahn. Moore stated that the billboard is on land owned by La Melgosa LLC.

Fiorito said that she had a “real fear” regarding the course of the country’s politics under President Trump. She said the dollar signs imitating Nazi swastikas were originally produced by New York artist Hugh Gran for her 2004 billboard, but were suitable and relevant to this piece as well.

“I was given the opportunity to just say what I want. And that’s what I did,” Fiorito said, adding, “I felt that those really symbolize politics and money and power.”

Sharing the photo of her piece on Twitter, the artist wrote: “This happened today in Phoenix. My [email protected] billboard. Enjoy. #antitrump #Trump #resist #ImpeachTrump #dumptrump #TheResistance.”

Some people who saw the billboard commented about the artist’s depiction.

“I think the message is, resist. It says ‘money-hungry world domination,’ Most people are wowed. I don’t want my windows bashed in.” said Ruben Gonzalez, a local design and apparel shop owner, who claimed that he was not aware that the billboard was going up.
