Texas Man Stabs Woman’s Neck Before Flipping Off The Cops, Gets Brutal Instant Justice
A San Antonio man was shot by police after stabbing a woman with a pencil and then coming after officers with the same weapon.
Sidney Isaac Gates was arrested after two women were walking up a set of stairs near a hospital and noticed Gates “acting strange” while pacing back and forth. At the top of the stairs, Gates reportedly grabbed one of the women by the shirt and attempted to pull her back.
The woman began to scream, prompting Gates to stab her in the neck repeatedly with a pencil. She was able to escape and run with the other woman into the hospital, where they found officers James Williams and Jon Sabo, who were both in civilian clothing and responding to an unrelated incident. The officers approached Gates, who flashed both of them the middle finger before raising his right hand with the pencil in it, San Antonio Express-News reported.
One of the two officers then shot Gates, hitting him in the abdomen.
San Antonio Police Chief William McManus told WOAI that the woman praised the officer who shot Gates.
“You saved my life,” McManus said she told the 9-year veteran.
Gates, who had a previous conviction of aggravated assault of a public servant, was charged with aggravated assault against a public servant and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was jailed on $150,000 bail.
The victim in the stabbing suffered minor injuries, and Gates was treated for his injuries before being arrested.
Many readers praised the officers for taking action against the suspect to save the woman’s life.
“Sometimes you have to wonder what is this world coming to we need somehow stop all the violence I for sure do not know the answer but it seems as a nation we could put our heads together and figure something out.I think everyone asking for God’s help will make a differnce for he will not forsake us,” one Mad World News reader commented on the site’s Facebook page.
“Thankfully these officers did was was necessary, unfortunately they need practice shooting. But thankfully you saved the day,” another wrote.
“Send these two Policemen back to the range, they need more practice. That was a disappointing outcome, medical bills to be paid, lawyers to defend this piece of scum, cost of trial, and incarceration for life,” another added.
“What was this guy on? If he was acting psychotic it was drugs. How was the woman? I hope she is OK now, as can be anyway. Wow,” another reader commented.
