Mother Gets Big Surprise After A Rough Day (Photo)
An Alabama woman was having an awful day when things took another turn and she got stranded on the side of the road with her children in the car. She was shocked by what happened next.
Johnni Chevonne Adams was not having a good day. It seemed that everything could go wrong did go wrong and just when she thought things couldn’t get any worse, she started having car issues and was stuck on the side of the road.
Adams’ two children were in the car with her and both children had different places they needed to be. As the mother waited for a tow truck to arrive, she was overcome with frustration at the unfortunate series of events in the day. That’s when she saw a police car pull up behind her.
Huntsville Police Officer Charles Draper spotted Adams in her car, clearly looking upset, so he pulled over to see if he could help.
The mother wrote about what happened next in a Facebook post, according to WHNT. The post reads:
“Thanks so much to Officer Charles Draper!!! What an outstanding, compassionate individual! I had an incident with my car on the Parkway this morning. I was so upset by the time Officer Draper and the tow company arrived. Officer Draper helped me safely get my children into his car, drove my son to daycare (and gave him a stuffed animal!), drove my daughter to school, and got me to work on time! And he made me laugh the entire time, really taking the edge off of the frustration I was feeling. This guy is a class act. You can tell he truly loves to serve his community. I am so impressed. Thanks, Officer Draper! You rock!”
Many readers were touched by Adams’ post, which quickly spread on social media. Facebook users shared their thoughts on the story on Mad World News’ page.
“Wow finally a great story that makes us proud of our police officers. This man went way out of his way to help this family,” one user wrote. “Wow God bless you Officer Charles Draper you are a wonderful human being and please stay safe out there. This does my heart good and at least cheers some of us up out there that are always putting down our police officers. Thank you for helping this family.”
“Great story,” another reader commented. “We never hear the good police do only the bad actions of a few! Thank you officer Draper for being who you are! God bless you. I hope you and all of your fellow officers remain safe! Just makes me feel good again! Again thanks!”
