News Anchors Can’t Stop Laughing At Bizarre Story (Video)
A hysterical clip of news anchors uncontrollably laughing at a bizarre story has gone viral (video below).
According to AWM, an engineer named Thomas Thwaites decided he needed a change from his life of TED Talks and winning awards from his designs, so he chose to spend time living as a goat. He developed a special digestive device that helped him to eat grass are easily and wore prosthetics to walk and act exactly like a goat.
Thwaites returned to civilization after carrying out the experiment and even won an Ig Nobel prize for his experience.
Despite the face that the experiment earned him awards, not everybody fully understood Thwaites’ choice to live as a goat. A clip from a news report about Thwaites’ experiment on CTV News Winnipeg in Canada has gone viral due to the anchors’ reaction to clips of Thwaites acting like a goat.
As the anchors watched the clip, they attempted to contain their laughter, but could not hold it in for long as they watched footage while attempting to read the story.
“Don’t watch the video while you try to read the script,” one anchor tells a fellow anchor, as she fails to hold in her laughter.
Thwaites says that the experience of living as a goat was a much simpler life than that of a human, but that it is not easy for humans because of our physical makeup and the difficulty of surviving on a goat’s diet. According to Newsiosity, Thwaites told the Telegraph that he “suffered quite a lot as a goat, because of the slope I was constantly falling over, and of course, I had to eat grass.”
Thwaites explained the experiment on his website.
“I tried to become a goat to escape the angst inherent in being a human. The project became an exploration of how close modern technology can take us to fulfilling an ancient human dream: to take on characteristics from other animals. But instead of the ferocity of a bear, or the perspective of a bird, the characteristic most useful in modern life is something else; being present in the moment perhaps,” he wrote. “Anyway I ended up in the Alps, on four legs, at a goat farm, with a prosthetic rumen strapped to my chest, eating grass, and becoming a goat.”
