Soldiers Help Stranded Woman After Car Breaks Down (Photos)

A woman was shocked when she received the help of a “platoon” of soldiers after her car broke down while coming home from work.

Mary Mingo Williams shared her story on Facebook, explaining that her car ran out of gas when she was coming home from work.

“I got out and started pushing my car nobody stopped to help me trucks passed by me,” she wrote. “People had the nerve to blow their horn at me and they see me pushing this car.”

Just when she thought that nobody would help her, Williams was shocked by what happened next:

I don’t know where they came from but all of a sudden I had almost a platoon of army men they pushed my car literally from motiva Terminal Gate to the Citco station on Gulfway Drive do you understand what I’m saying they pushed my car on their feet.

When we got there I asked him, ‘Can I please take your picture to let people know there are still young men in the world that will stop and offer their assistance to a woman in need?’ They said yes. At the gas station this man jumped out of his truck, pulled a $100 bill out of his wallet and offered it to them for them to go get themselves a meal.

They all said at the same time ‘No sir we cannot accept that we were doing what we were raised to do.’ This same gentleman turned around and put gasoline in my car and told me keep the money that I had in my pocket. I thank each and everyone of you from the bottom of my heart.

The amazing story quickly caught attention on social media, with many praising the soldiers for their selfless actions.

“Being navy and the mother of navy, I never thought I would say this but Go ARMY,” one Love What Matters reader commented on the site’s Facebook page. “God bless you boy, and thank you for give a woman faith again. You did your mama’s and your country proud today.”

“There are angels everywhere,” another commented on Mad World News’ Facebook page. “Sometimes, they disguise themselves in US Military uniforms.”

“These are our true heroes!” another wrote. “Our country’s strength is NOT by our politicians, but by our men and women that serve with honor. Thank the men and women in uniform, buy them a cup of coffee or meal if you see them in the line you are waiting in. They may be going somewhere that will change their lives and yours permanenly.”
