Teacher Forces Students To Apologize For Shocking Thing (Video)

A North Carolina teacher sparked backlash from parents after allegedly forcing white students to stand up in front of the class and apologize for “white privilege” (video below).

The allegations came to light during a Rockingham County, North Carolina, school board meeting in which a parent, Farren Wilkinson, claimed that a teacher bullied her children in class.

“I just want to share light on a situation that happened at Western Rockingham Middle School where a teacher caused some of her students to stand up and apologize to other students based on their inequal opportunities of education,” she said in the meeting, which was uploaded to YouTube. 

“So I would like to know how our schools can allow an educator to humiliate, bully and degrade students. This is not a matter of race but a matter of a teacher using fear and the embarrassment of children to satisfy her own personal anger or beliefs.”

Local parents identified the teacher as 6th grade English teacher Tarsha Clarke. One parent told American Lens that the incident was even more specific than described by Wilkinson.

Western Rockingham Middle School principal Stephanie Wray told American Lens that the incident did not occur, despite claims from parents.

“In regard to your additional requests, I can not speak on any individual, however any allegations brought to our attention are investigated thoroughly and proper disciplinary action is taken if needed,” she wrote in an email to the site.

“Again, I can not speak regarding specific individuals due to personnel law, however the particular incident you asked about was unfounded to happen at our school.”

Many readers called for Clarke to be removed if the allegations proved to be true.

“She needs to be fired and stripped of all teaching credentials. She has no place teaching any child, in any school, in any state. In fact, she should spend some time in jail for race baiting and mental abuse of children,” one Mad World News reader commented on the site’s Facebook page.

So far, the only people ive seen with a privilege is people like this. Ill be damned if my kids apologize for their skin color. Ill be damned if i apologize for mine either. Your a damn teacher dont place your ignorance into the learning part,” another wrote.

“She should have been fired without recourse. She was taking out her own frustrations on the children she was there to teach English to, not to be doing any psychological type experiment to satisfy her dissatisfaction with race relations in the world or the USA. This is not the type of person to be teaching any children what-so-ever,” another added.
