Tom Selleck Blasts Rosie O’Donnell On Gun Control (Video)

In a classic clip from “The Rosie O’Donnell Show” that’s going viral, Tom Selleck completely destroyed the host during an argument on gun control (video below).

Selleck appeared on O’Donnell’s show in 2000 to promote a new movie, but the conversation quickly turned to gun control when O’Donnell brought up a commercial he did for the NRA.

“Assault weapons threaten the safety of other people. There’s no reason in my opinion to have them. You wanna have a hunting rifle? Great. You wanna have a handgun?” O’Donnell asked Selleck.

“Do you really think the Second Amendment is in the Constitution to guarantee hunting and target shooting? Do you really think that’s what the Founding Fathers meant?” the actor replied.

“I think the Second Amendment is in the Constitution so that we can have muskets when the British people come over in 1800. I don’t think it’s in the Constitution to have assault weapons in the year 2000,” O’Donnell replied.

Right after her reply, O’Donnell asked Selleck if she was wrong for her position. While sipping on coffee, Selleck silently nodded in reply.

The clip went viral, with many applauding Selleck’s eloquent handling of the situation.

“Rosie is what’s wrong with this country. She believes she is entitled to protection, but us general population people should just hope for the best. Hope she moves when Trump gets in. She can take all the bleeding ass liberals with her. It’s okay to kill a child up until the day of birth but, a citizen shouldn’t have the ability to protect themselves,” one viewer commented on AWM America’s Facebook.

“She invited Tom on her show and tried to discredit him. He remained very calm and logical. She only made herself look like an ass,” another viewer added.
