Trump: Obama Is The Worst President In American History

Donald Trump hit back at President Barack Obama on Aug. 2 for calling the Republican presidential nominee “unfit to be president.”

“Well, he’s a terrible president,” Trump said, according to CNN. “He’ll probably go down as the worst president in the history of our country; he’s been a total disaster.”

Trump went on to say that Obama failed to enforce “his line in the sand” in Syria with chemical warfare and other foreign policy issues. But he does not think that policy has anything to do with Obama’s harsh words against the GOP nominee.

“I think it just means he’s concerned I’m going to win,” Trump said. “Don’t forget, last time he said I would never get the nomination, now he’s saying I wouldn’t get the election, now all of the sudden he said the other day maybe I can win the election.”

Obama said at a White House news conference earlier in the day that he believes Trump is “unfit to serve as president” and that he “keeps on proving it.”

“The notion that he would attack a Gold Star family that made such extraordinary sacrifices on behalf of our country, the fact that he doesn’t appear to have basic knowledge of critical issues in Europe, the Middle East, in Asia, means that he’s woefully unprepared to do this job,” Obama said, in response to Trump’s feud with Khizr and Ghazala Khan, the parents of a fallen war hero who was Muslim.

Trump also responded to Obama’s words about his fitness for the presidency in a statement, saying that Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, whom Obama has endorsed, has “proven herself unfit to serve in any government office.”

“President Obama has been a failed leader who along with Secretary of State Clinton created a foreign policy that has destabilized the world and made it an unsafe place,” Trump said. “He is the one who is unfit to be President and Hillary Clinton is equally unfit.”
