Trump Says He Would ‘Love’ To Beat Up Biden
Donald Trump said at an October 25 that he would “love” to fight Joe Biden, days after the vice president made a comment several days previous about taking him “behind the gym.”
“Did you see where Biden wants to take me to the back of the barn,” Trump told a crowd of supporters at a rally in Tallahassee, Florida, according to CNN. “I’d love that. I’d love that. Mr. Tough Guy. You know he’s Mr. Tough Guy. You know when he’s Mr. Tough Guy — when he’s standing behind a microphone by himself. That’s when. He wants to bring me to the back of the barn ohhh. Some things in life you could really love doing.”
Trump’s comments came in response to a stump speech Biden gave for Hillary Clinton’s campaign on October 21, in which he criticized Trump for making sexually aggressive comments about women in 2005.
“The press always ask me, ‘Don’t I wish I were debating him?'” Biden said during the rally. “No, I wish we were in high school — I could take him behind the gym. That’s what I wish.”
Biden also called Trump’s comments the “textbook definition of sexual assault” and reiterated on October 24 that he is “not in high school” and understands that if he beat Trump up behind a building, it would be classified as assault. But if he were in high school, he said, he would go for it.
“I mean, all kidding aside, wouldn’t you?” Biden asked the audience. “I mean, for real. Can you imagine a guy in the locker room talking that way? And your sister’s out there watching the game. Not a joke.”
Biden then went on to say that Trump has demonstrated that “he doesn’t know anything.”
“He says these things, and you’re looking — it’s like a sitcom,” he said. “Like, whoa! Where’d that come from?”
The pair’s feud has been ongoing throughout Trump’s campaign. In late July, Trump told a Fox News radio program that Biden “is not a very smart guy” and added to MSNBC that Biden is “ill-prepared because he says so many things that are just absolutely wrong” about the GOP nominee, notes Politico.
