Liberals Outraged After Learning What Trump Put Under Hillary's Portrait

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, along with musicians Ted Nugent and Kid Rock, attended a dinner at the White House with President Donald Trump – and quickly made headlines for a shocking photo they took alongside a portrait of Hillary Clinton.

The trio were invited to the White House by Trump after all three supported him during his campaign. They were reportedly given a tour of the historic building before Nugget’s wife suggested that they pose with a painting of the former First Lady and Trump’s Democratic opponent during the 2016 presidential race.

In the photo, Palin points up at the portrait while making a face, and Nugent and Rock grin alongside of her. The photo quickly went viral, with mixed reaction across the Internet. Supporters applauded the trio and some even turned the picture into a meme.

“That’s the neatest idea ever,” one Mad World News reader commented on the site’s Facebook page.

Others called for the portrait to be removed from the White House.

“Take it down!!!!!!!” one reader expressed.

In an interview with the Detroit Free Press following the visit, Nugent detailed his experience – including everything from what they ate for dinner to what they discussed. When asked what the conversations were about, Nugent didn’t hold back.

“Everything! Rock ’n’ roll and hunting and guns and venison and energy and borders and military strength and Supreme Court justices and good food and pretty girls,” he said. “What would you and I talk about around a campfire? I’m sure our conversations would run the gamut of the human experience and things that bring us joy and quality of life and intrigue and humor.”

Nugget also addressed questions from many about why he was invited to the White House given his history of questionable comments regarding former President Obama and Clinton, as well as statements deemed racist.

“That’s what I’m talking about. He’s not a racist. I’m not a racist. Sarah Palin’s not a racist. Kid Rock’s not a racist. If you’re going to criticize me, you’ve got to be honest. Come up with something that’s true,” he said. “So when they level those kinds of accusations, I tell you: I’ve known Sarah Palin a long time. I know Bob. I know President Trump. It rolls off our back, but we are hurt that such dishonesty exists. If you want to have a debate, we’ve got to be honest.”

On the menu at dinner, Nugent revealed, was lamb chops and lobster salad.

“The spirit could not have been more buoyant. It was fun, silliness. And we talked about serious things, like Russia and North Korea. We covered the bases,” he said. “We didn’t know what to expect. I figured we’d get an hour, maybe two hours with the president. We were there for over four hours. It was awesome.”
